Merry Christmas Foodies

Merry Christmas Foodies

Merry Christmas Foodies! For all of those dreaming of a white Christmas, you will be happy to know that your dream has come true. We have woken to the world blanketed in a layer of white fluffy snow. Hopefully during this Covid Christmas you are as fortunate as us and don’t have to drive anywhere.

Christmas is not the same without snow, even if I truly hate the cold. Matt loves the snow and loves winter, which I can’t say I understand at all. But this year I am not mad about the snow because we won’t be making the hour long drive to my parents house to spend Christmas Day with my side of the family. Instead we will be making waffles, berries, whip cream, fruit compote, eggs, bacon, toast, mimosas, and more for brunch. Then having a super small and intimate dinner.

What’s for Dinner?

For dinner we are planning to make a ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots, and cheesecake for dessert. I’m honestly so excited for dinner. A couple weeks ago when we did our small family Christmas, ham’s weren’t in grocery stores yet. So I was super happy when I was able to snag one last week while doing out weekly grocery shopping.

Well I don’t want to make this a super long post because I am sure you want to get back to your families. But we just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas (or the holiday you celebrate this time of year). We plan on spending the day, opening presents, eating, watching movies, eating, enjoying our first Christmas without our family, eating. Pretty much a lot of eating because what else do you do on Christmas?

Let us know what you’re getting up to today? What are some of your traditions? What are you most excited about this Christmas Day?
